It seems like only yesterday that Nvidia released a brand new line of cards based on their 7800 chipset. Here at Auphanonline, we were very impressed with what was then the cream of the crop when it came to georgeously detailed gaming goodness. Since our review of Leadtek's 7800GT back in August, Nvidia's 7800 cards have been given quite a run for their money by the boys over at ATI, who introduced their x1800 and x1900 cards in rapid succession in an effort to maintain a bleeding edge advantage over Nvidia.
Rather than sit still and concede the performance crown to ATI until their Geforce 8 cards were ready, Nvidia was moved to act by releasing cards based on a revamped version of their already potent 7 series chips. The result... the Geforce 7900. Thanks to Leadtek, today I got my hands on one of the first cards to use Nvidia's new chip. Is it time to upgrade to the 7900GT? Read on to find out.
