First Impressions

I would have to say that my first impression of the Thermaltake fanless PSU was that it was really huge. Not only was it larger then my old power supply, the Thermaltake also extends outside of a normal PSU bracket by a good few inches on both sides. In fact, the back portion of the power supply extends outside of your case.

The unit itself looked good. The contrasting orange heatsink with black aluminum would definitely hold up aesthetically at any LAN party. In fact, you would probably get noticed even more due to the novelty of the heatsink jetting out of the back of your case. The power switch on the back of the PSU is actually equipped with an LED (that lights the switch when powered on) which is nice for those times, after 36 hours of gaming, where you are too sleepy to figure out if your computer is on or off.

The entire system comes with everything you need to get up and running. The power supply, all the necessary mounting screws, instructions, and a power cord. Whatâ??s also nice is that all the internal power cables are wrapped in colour coded sleeves which make it easy to keep the inside of your case neat and tidy. The only thing I would have liked to have seen included in the set was covers for the unused power connectors (to prevent â??accidentsâ?) but that is just being picky.
